   Hi,
   I am Lt. Lisa Davey my husband and I are The Salvation Army Corps Officers/Pastors and are interested in connecting with other pastors in the Mat-Su Valley. I was looking at the meeting locations and didn’t see a date for August. What are the meetings like? When is it and would it be alright if we came to the August meeting? We were told of this group by Stephanie Clary.

     Hi Lisa,

     Sorry to take so long in getting back to you. For one more week in August we are meeting at Word of Faith on Bogard Rd. near the Seward Meridian light. It is the little white church on the north side of Bogard. Then for September, we’ll be meeting at Abundant Life on Lucas Rd. We’d love to have you join us.

     A weekly meeting (Thursday mornings at 8 a.m.) generally starts with worship and a bit of the Word brought by the host pastor or whoever he has appointed to run the meeting. Then, depending on what the host determines, we will spend the majority of the time in prayer. That could take many forms – with us breaking into small groups, all praying together, praying for specific things, whatever. We try to close that part by 9 a.m. Sometimes we have people there to make a presentation of some sort (other ministry groups, special interest groups, etc.). They do their presentations generally either right after the prayer or during breakfast. Then we break for breakfast provided by the host church. People are free to stay as long as they like and fellowship.

     I think I may have been in e-mail contact with your husband last week. I will add your e-mail contact info to our e-mail list so you will be “in the know” as things come up. Looking forward to connecting with you!
